I’m driven by a passion for the authentic, unique, and personal. Creating designs that are timeless and original, just like you.
I don’t follow trends, instead I create functional, livable spaces with soul.
Hi! I’m Susie.
Susie Prince, owner of Susie Mae Design is a residential interior designer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Susie grew up in an old farm house in a small town in rural Georgia. Her love for interiors and preserving the history of a home began growing up in that environment. Prior to launching her own business, Susie worked in the corporate world doing graphic and package design before working in television on HGTV’s Emmy Award-winning “Elbow Room” and FOX’s design and build reality show “Home Free”. Her experience working in television taught her that the personalization and relationship-building aspect of the business was essential for her. Design should not be trendy or “in vs out”, it should be authentic and personal. Susie loves to blend old and new, color, pattern, texture, and shine to create spaces that are dynamic, timeless, and unique. She will always honor the architecture of a home so that changes feel natural and as if they’ve always been that way.
Susie and her husband, Victor share their Atlanta home with their dogs, Scout and Brownie, and often a foster dog, too. Susie and Victor are also the proud owners of a vacation rental home in Sylva, NC they built from the ground up. When she isn’t creating beautiful, livable spaces, she is either volunteering with Lifeline Animal Project, traveling, or perfecting a recipe in the kitchen. Her drive is to make everything more beautiful by helping everyone to be different and to be themselves.
Elizabeth Lamb
Elizabeth is an Atlanta native and a graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design where she received both her BFA in painting and MFA in Textile Design. Her unique perspective is shaped by her fine art and design backgrounds. Vibrant color and storytelling are all inherent to her work.
Elizabeth has a keen eye for design and the perfect combination of chic and playful taste. She brings joy to all of her work with Susie Mae Design.
Elizabeth is also a volunteer with Lifeline Animal Services and a frequent dog foster mom. She and her husband Steve live in a beautiful old home in Atlanta with their dogs and cat.
Brinley Gunther
Brinley helps with floorplans, specification, and organization. She studies Interior Design at Georgia State University and plans to continue her education by pursuing a degree in architecture after graduation. She brings a keen eye for detail, creative problem-solving, and strong organizational skills to contribute meaningfully to every project stage, from concept to execution. She is passionate about creating thoughtful, functional spaces that reflect aesthetic and practical use. Outside of work and school, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her sweet cats!
Scout Prince
Scout is the head of security detail at Susie Mae Design. She’s been on staff since 2019 and is very dedicated to her work. When she isn’t on the clock, she enjoys playing with her dog friends and toys, snuggling with her family, and eating any snack she can get her paws on.
Brownie Prince
Brownie is our in-house stress relief and backup security detail. She’s been on staff since 2022. When she isn’t working, she enjoys belly rubs, playing with her friends, and finding the funniest ways to nap.
The Team
We can’t wait to work with you!
oh, and I have this thing with before + afters
Never apologize for your dog being around. I absolutely want to pet your dog… and your cat.
If you’ve noticed the little dog illustrations peeking around my site - those are inspired by my dog Scout! My husband, Victor, and I are volunteers and ardent supporters of our local animal shelter, Lifeline, and adopted both Scout and Brownie from them. If your home needs a furry addition, one is waiting to be rescued today. Check them out here:
