Susie Mae Design offers both residential and light commercial design, tailored to each client's taste and needs. With an emphasis on personal style, Susie strives to help each client to determine their style and creates spaces curated to fit them. By developing relationships with her clients, she is able to design and install rooms that feel personal and exceed expectations.
Susie Prince, or "Susie Mae" is a designer and art director with a wide range of skills and experience from residential interior design, to branding and packaging for agencies and Fortune 500 companies, to staging and art direction for TV, web, and print. She enjoys building a relationship with clients and making beautiful spaces personalized to their specific needs and style. Growing up, she always dreamed of being an artist and is thankful that she gets to work in a creative field that allows her to make things beautiful.
Susie has her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Georgia Southern University where she studied design. While in school, she worked in a home decor shop where she was able to create window design vignettes. It was there she fell in love with styling interiors which is a love affair that continues to this day.
Susie spent the first 5 years of her career working at Home Depot corporate in visual merchandising and packaging design for the private brand, Home Decorator's Collection. After working in a corporate environment, she was ready for something new and worked on season four of HGTV's Emmy Award Winning "Elbow Room" as the Graphics Lead and Stylist. On "Elbow Room", she was able to work more in interiors and on very custom projects to make houses into comfortable and useable homes.
In summer 2015, Susie and her husband, Victor Prince were contestants on FOX's show "Home Free", hosted by Mike Holmes. On Home Free, she and Victor competed in design and build challenges to win a dream home. The show aired in the US and Canada in the fall of 2015.
Susie works as a designer and art director in Atlanta, GA. Her drive is to make everything more beautiful by helping everyone to be different and to be themselves.
